2 | NavianHawaii.org “There is no power for change greater than a community discovering what it cares about.” – Margaret J. Wheatley It takes grace, commitment, and perseverance to usher someone through the darkness, to hold their hands during the most trying moments, and to remind them they aren’t alone. These past two years, we have collectively been searching for the light – all of us navigating our way through uncertainty and fear. These trying times have pushed us to reflect on what we value most and return to our roots and strength as a society. We have realized that each moment is meaningful and gives us purpose. As a community, we came together and generated light through continued optimism, faith, empathy, and understanding that the pandemic collectively affected everyone. The spirit of aloha was front and center – there were so many examples of love and respect, along with a renewed sense of fellowship and resilience as we went through the continued ups and downs of the pandemic. As we close the chapter on 2021, I’m excited about the future and what it will bring. Last year was a time of evolution for many of us as we dealt with the lasting impacts of COVID-19. While there are still concerns around newly emerging variants, we have returned to a sense of normalcy and are coming into this year transformed and hopeful. Mahalo to all of our friends and supporters who have ridden alongside us, even when the journey was uncertain. It is with your ongoing support that we’ve been able to bring hope, reduce fears and impact lives for more than 40 years. As 2022 takes its course, let’s continue to embrace change while always navigating towards the promise of tomorrow. And let’s not forget what matters most: connecting as a community, being there for each other, treating others with respect and dignity, and loving one another. 860 Iwilei Road • Honolulu, HI 96817 Tel: (808) 924-9255 • Fax: (808) 922-9161 BOARD OF DIRECTORS CHAIRPERSON Kevin T.
